Every day I was there I would let the dogs out at least once and he would ask me if the gate was closed. I guess he meant the outside gate and finally realized the gates upstairs were open…So he left to be with his wife. Rest in peace Arie.

Condolence from Heather on November 26th, 2017 10:04 am

Arie was such a happy, smart and caring man , it was always a pleasure to go in and visit with him . Two things he always said to me during my time with him : “You always need to have a sense of humour , that’s the most important thing to have” and ” Make sure you get home safely.” I will always remember those two things.
He will truly be missed , Rest In peace Arie.

Condolence from Eddie Zeeman on November 26th, 2017 2:12 pm

I feel like I knew him through his daughter. He was so much like my own Dutch Dad in many ways. Even the same age. Nellie and I shared many laughs about our upbringings, and those quirky incidents only Dutch kids growing up in Canada can understand. Rest in Peace Mr. Moor. You had a good productive life and raised a daughter with a heart of gold.

I have known Arie Moor for just over a decade. But the moment I met him I knew he was a kindred spirit. We had many discussions about life, animals and the education of children. He loved his family and was such a positive role model. Arie you will be forever missed but my memories of you will forever hold a special place in my heart ♥️ Rest in Pease

Condolence from Valerie Moor-Leininger on November 27th, 2017 12:14 am

97 years and life is still far too short.
The longer we have together, the harder death is to process.
A best friend, a safe haven, a laugh when needed, a cry when needed, a scold when needed. Most importantly- my reassurance when needed, even in the last days of his life.
I am forever proud to be your grand-daughter, and forever grateful for everything you taught me.
Arie and Henderika, together again.
Love Forever and Always.

I will always have fond memories of Uncle Arie. He became my second Dad when my dad passed ( his brother -Bert Moor). I was only 8 years old at that time. Uncle Arie worked hard in the greenhouse, he loved his animals. It was so much fun as a child to visit Uncle Arie home. He was alway kind and loving I will miss you and all the kisses you threw me across the room when I visited. You will be in heaven with my Dad. Much love Pieternella
