Peacefully at Newmarket Health Centre on October 16, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Mae (Rowell), in her 91st year, beloved wife of the late Willard Hunt. Loving mother of Brenda (Bill), David, Bob (Lynn) and Sandra (Charlie), sadly missed by her 5 grandchildren Natalie, Brad, Jess, Caitlin, Riley, and by her 5 great grandchildren Madeline, Benjamin, Isla, Ella and Hayden. Dear sister Fay (Ken), and the late Clare (Beth) and Gerald “Short” (Joan).
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham 905-936-3477, on Sunday October 23, 2022 from 4-6pm. Funeral service will be held in St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church 116 Church Street, Schomberg at 11am, on Monday October 24, 2022, with an hour of visitation prior to the service starting at 10am. Interment to follow at Schomberg Union Cemetery. The family invites everyone back to the church for the reception. Donations in Mae’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Our family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Newmarket Health Centre for the care and compassion they provided Mom over the past four years.
