Terry McMillan

In Memorial

McMillan TerryTerry McMillan – September 24, 1955-September 25, 2023
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Terry, who was surrounded by his wife and children, on September 25, 2023, just one day after his 68th birthday. Beloved husband of 45 years of Stacey (nee Case), cherished father of Erin and Tyler (Julie), and treasured grandpa to Henry and Gavin. Terry will also be missed by his sister Kelly, brother Scott (Silvia), as well as his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Terry is predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Doreen (nee Drury), in-laws Douglas and Elizabeth Case and his brother Randy (Kathy).

Terry spent his early years in Bolton before moving to New Tecumseth. Growing up, Terry loved hockey, playing for the Aurora Tigers for several years. He later coached local teams and never missed any of Tyler’s games or practices when he played for Schomberg. He worked for the Ministry of Transportation for over 30 years before retiring. Terry adored his grandsons and always looked forward to their visits. He was often seen driving around town in his Ford Ranger, often with his “granddog” Darwin by his side. He was a doting father and loving husband who would do anything for his family.

A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Sunday October 15, 2023, from 1:00-4:00pm at the Tottenham Legion (25 Richmond Street East, Tottenham Ontario). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Terry’s name to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements entrusted to Rod Abrams Funeral Home.

I was just told a few days ago about Terry.
I knew him as a school mate, a hockey teammate and friend…… and for sure… if you had a topic to talk about… you had better know your stuff… cause Terry would call you out if his information didn’t jive with yours.
Terry worked summer seasonal for my Dad… Gordon Wilder Construction.. helping us build concrete silos for several summers in our growing up years… Terry had attention to detail that I always liked
And he had that leader presence that definitely helped our teams win way more than we lost… very sad to hear this news and want to hug his entire family.
    Sincerely, Grant Wilder

    Erin & Family,
During our time as neighbours, I always enjoyed witnessing the special bond that you had with your Dad. You could see the happiness in his face as he arrived at your house to help with yard work or household tasks. However, there was no greater display of joy than when he arrived to pick up his Grandpup, Darwin!
I am so sorry for the pain that your family is experiencing. It is never easy to lose a family member, but losing someone as special as your Dad is something that no family should have to face!
