Dear Sharon, Jack, Pete, Joanne and your families ..
There’s nothing like the ‘letting go’, we all know it’s inevitable but so difficult for those left behind to deal with the loss, as you well know! I have been living in the US for years now but had always kept in touch with Bookie and tried to visit him if & when I was in Canada. I called throughout his illness, he never complained, his voice and laughter were so familiar! My only wish is that I could be with you all again, to share and tell stories of our life experiences with Tom .. so so many! I told Jack that I always thought of Tom as a gentle spirit in a big man’s body. He was generous, compassionate and caring but you also knew that he was in your corner when it was important! He truly was my friend and for me, he will never be gone. If you plan a get together at some point, I would surely make an effort to be in attendance. I’m sending heartfelt condolences to each and all of you, we go back a long way and I’m thankful for every memory. I’m sorry you’ve lost Tom but we’ll all catch up, at some point. The very best to you all, always! David

Our condolences go out to the Wray and Stonehouse families we are sorry for your loss.
Cal and I had so much fun when Book and Cal coached the midgets (I know they are not called this anymore)one year. After the games we would go to the hot stove lounge which was Cathy’s video store and spend hours going over the home games on Friday nights. Many beers were had and so many laughs, I can still hear Wayne Dove’s laugh. Book you were one-of-a-kind and will be missed by so many. RIP Book I am sure the hot stove lounge will be up and running up there with Cathy and Wayne in attendance.

To the Wray and Stonehouse Families:

We are extremely saddened to hear of Tom’s passing. His smile, his wit, and his demeanor will be greatly missed by us all. I enjoyed my time working with him plowing snow at Miller’s, and attending many social events around Schomberg. Tom will be remembered as a Schomberg Legend for sure. Our thoughts are with you all at this time.

It seems to me that it is sad when a great pal moves on. Bookie was always there for me and my brothers Hutch & Dave. Didn’t matter what it was either. The three of us sure had some great adventures with my friend Tom. Actually the three Hutchins boys have had adventures with the whole Wray family, truth be told.
Many wonderful memories that make me smile when thinking of Tom.
I wish the Wray family Happiness & Good thoughts.
As my older brother John said to me, See ya on the Flip Side Book. ❤️

So sorry to hear of Tom’s passing but feel comforted that he is at rest now.
I grew up with Tom and have many great memories dating all the way back to kindergarten when he was the only boy with nine of us girls.
Remembering the many night’s discussions about the issues of the world, and I’m sure he, Cathy, Paul, Wayne and others will be holding court right now up in heaven.
    Treasuring those wonderful memories.

Sharon, Jack, Pete, Joanne and families,
So sorry to hear about Tom. I will always remember him while visiting Jane and David over the years when they lived in Cookstown and I will never forget the summer Book, Jack and Hutch showed up at Rideau Carleton. Being Race Secretary and spending off hours with those guys made for a very busy season, but a great time with lasting memories. I think that was the same year the Eagles came to the race track and half of Schomberg showed up. What a show, both on stage and in the backstretch. Book was a great guy. Lots of fun, lots of laughs. I think the last time I saw him was at David’s house outside Bond Head. The good old days. Gone but not forgotten. Rest in peace man.
