Petersen: Astrid,
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Astrid Edel Petersen in the evening of Friday March 15, 2024. She was born in Denmark in 1934 to Lilly and Jens Demolade, and was one of nine siblings.
She made her way to Canada in 1959 with her husband Kaj Petersen (predeceased) and son Leif. Astrid was a doting mother to her two sons, John (predeceased), and Leif (Sherry). Adored grandmother (known as GG) to Aislinn (Chris), and Janna (Dan). Cherished great grandmother to Amia, Everly, and Jameson. She transitioned peacefully with the help of many caring hands at Simcoe Manor Beeton where she resided for the past 13 years. Astrid requested that in lieu of a service, her cremated remains be joined with Kaj’s and scattered together by family.
