Left us peacefully at Good Samaritan Seniors Complex Alliston, on June 19, 2024. Doris Gould (nee: Bell) at the age of 101 years, beloved wife of the late Bruce Gould. Loving mother of Ted (Linda), John (Rita Bennett), and Larry (Cindi). Dear grandmother of Andy (Becky), Jen (Stephen), Stephanie (Bryan), Chelsea, Cory, and caring great grandmother of Avery, Kaitlyn, Owen, and Nora. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends. After Bruce’s death in 1969, Doris left her lifetime home in Beeton temporarily and enrolled in a nursing school curriculum in Brampton. She graduated with honours, as class valedictorian, and received her Registered Nursing Assistant degree. She then enjoyed a 15 year career at Stevenson Memorial hospital.
Arrangements entrusted to Rod Abrams Funeral Home Tottenham. A private Family Funeral Service will be held, followed by interment in Trinity Cemetery Beeton. In Doris’ memory, donations to Stevenson Memorial Hospital would be appreciated. Condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

    I just spoke with my sister Lynne and she wanted me to express her deepest condolences to the Gould family. She tried, unsuccessfully, to send this herself, but she and computers don’t get along so well. Her many chats with Doris over the years were among her favourite moments.

    Condolences to all who knew and loved her. I knew her growing up as my grandparents lived beside her. My mother Edith and her were good friends. I then worked with her at Stevenson. A great lady, you will miss her I’m sure.

    Sorry for your loss. I’m reminded that Dad couldn’t go to the “mall” without visiting John so that he could check on your Mom. Then on our drive home, he would tell me a new story about your Mom. Good memories.
