Ross JohnRoss: John William

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Ross on February 26th, 2025, at Baycrest Palliative Care in Toronto, with his family by his side.

I am so sorry to discover John’s passing today. He was my plumber for many years, and always did a great job. Though quiet, he would warm up, and I enjoyed having him around while he went about his work. He even explained how to do a job so I could do it myself. He messaged me last January to say he wouldn’t be available for a period due to health reasons, but I did not realize it was something he wouldn’t recover from.

Very sad to hear the passing of John. He was my plumber for many years but I also considered him a friend. A kind and honest man. Will be deeply missed.

I was deeply shocked to learn of John’s passing today. I knew him through his trade for well over 20 years and often turned to him for help with problems no one else could solve.

Though he came across as serious, he was a kind soul with a dry sense of humour. He didn’t say much while working, but I would joke around with him, and every so often, I’d manage to get him to crack a smile. He struck me as a man of faith—honest, dependable, and someone who truly took pride in his work.

The last time I saw him was in early October 2024. I had no idea he was unwell.

My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. John truly left his mark on this earth with his gentle spirit, kindness, and integrity. He will be greatly missed but always remembered in our hearts.

Allister and I are so sorry to hear today (May 5th) of John’s passing in February. John was a man of few words but he loved to sing for the Lord. We have fond memories of our time with the Ross family while attending Banfield Memorial Church. May the Lord continue to give His comfort and peace to each family member during this time of bereavement.

    I am in shock.
I am sorry to hear the passing of a great friend whom I met at Banfield Memorial Chirch. He had such a good singing voice. He was quiet but caring with a big heart. He was funny causevhe had a dry sense of humor. We hung out together in the late 1980’s,early 90’s. John was there for me in 1991 when my father passed away. Today I was calling him today to tell him that my mum on March 24, 2025 passed away.
Can a family member call me. It’s sandy 4164022954
