Peacefully passed away with her loving family at her side at Matthews House Hospice Alliston, on July 17, 2025. Gilda Orfea Reuter (nee: Bassi ), at the age of 90 years, loving wife of Hans. Beloved mother of Marco and stepmother to Debra. Sadly missed by her grandchild Roland and Roland’s mother, Janine Bent, and step-grandchildren Randy and Jordan. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Gilda’s life will be held at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Saturday July 26, 2025 from 12:00pm – 2:00 pm. For those who wish, donations in Gilda’s memory to Matthews House Hospice

I have known this wonderful family for a very long time. Interacting with Gilda as her Personal Support Worker was an extreamly great pleasure and a journey i would never forget. She always had a beautiful welcoming smile and a pure heart made out of gold. Always sharing and giving whatever little she has. On behalf of myself and family I would like to express our most heartfelt condolences to her beloved husband Hans, her caring and loving son Marco adorable grandson Roland and the entire family.
