To Claude, Marjorie and the rest of Duane’s family. I am so saddened to have to write this. Duane was a huge part of our family for about 5 years when he dated our daughter. We came to love him as our own and missed him so much when the relationship ended but we were so happy to hear that he met a loving partner and had two beautiful daughters. Marjorie, Claude, Lori, & Rodney, I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling but rest assured that you will all be in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead as you celebrate his life and mourn his loss. Cherish your memories because I know you have a lot of good memories as we do.

Duane, every so often over the past few days I pause, choking up as a memory of you comes back from a long time ago when we were boys, not a care in the world, our whole lives in front of us. I pray your family is finding peace in those cherished memories, and I hope that wherever you are now, the cars are fast, the fish are plenty, the tunes are classic and the mountains are blue.
