
Passed away peacefully at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, on November 25, 2025. Elisabeth Easterling (nee: Maier) at the age of 98 years, beloved wife of the late John Easterling. Loving mother of Gary (Gail), Keith (Susan), and Mark (Tammy). Dear grandmother of Katie (Mark), Brock (Christina), Erica (Reid), Leah (Taylor), Michelle, Andrew, and great grandmother of Trent, Grady, Spencer, Carter, Alanna, and Brie. Sadly missed by her sister Irena Kobald, her extended family, and many friends.
Elisabeth was born October 13, 1927, in Austria and then travelled through Switzerland and eventually landed in London, England. She worked for a family in Hyde Park as a housekeeper where she met John and enjoyed a brief engagement. They were married in London eventually travelling to Canada in 1954. Settling into life as newlyweds and enjoying a life full of family, friends and memories.
Memorial Service will be held at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477, on Friday December 5th, 2025 with Visitation from 10am until time of Service in the chapel at 12pm. Reception will follow in the funeral home’s Cliffside Hall. For those who wish, donations in Elisabeth’s memory to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
