Cook: Doris Elizabeth (nee: Geer);

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Elizabeth Cook (née Geer), who passed away peacefully at the IOOF Seniors Home in Barrie at the age of 102. Doris is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, Robert Murray Cook. She was the loving mother of Marlene (Herman), the late Wayne, Debbie (Gary), Wendy (Bob), and Chris (Julie). A proud Grandma to Kim (Tim), Rob (Andrea), Carrie, Pam, Christa (Andrew), Richard (Cate), and Jodi (Julian). She was a loving great-grandmother to Jacob (Rachel), Benjamin (Leah), Joshua (Olivia), Jordyn (Dorian), Brookelynn, Brianna, Jack, and Elodie. Doris was predeceased by her siblings, Keith (the late Annette), Marshall (the late Charmine), Beulah (the late Arthur), and her late sister-in-law Marilyn Bachly (the late David). Doris will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham, 905-936-3477, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Cliffside Hall. Interment will take place at Kettleby Cemetery, 631 Kettleby Road, King, ON L7B 0C9.
