McDonald: Harold Emerson,
Born in Cooksville, Ontario, on April 19, 1936, Harold built a life grounded in hard work, family, and love. After 35 years working at Goodyear in New Toronto, he was fortunate to enjoy a retirement that lasted even longer than his working years.
He married his beloved Eleanor on October 11, 1958, and together they made their home in Nobleton. It was in that home that they welcomed and raised their four children: Claire Schneider (Paul), Dawn Fincher (Tom), Bill McDonald (Lori), and Denise Osborne (Peter).
For 85 years, Harold worked the farm, dedicating countless hours to the land. Farming was an important part of his life, and the farm became a place where family memories were made, traditions were carried on, and generations came together.
Their love and commitment created a lasting legacy, including 10 grandchildren: Jakob, Jesse, Billy, Laine, David, MacKenzie, Paige, Holly, Will, and Robyn.
He was predeceased by his father and mother (Ernest and Victoria), his siblings, Mary, Ellen, Ernie, Ron and Shirley. Together, Harold and Eleanor built a lifetime of memories, family traditions, and love that will continue through the generations.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Rod Abrams Funeral Home. Online condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.
