Velma McDonald

In Memorial

McDonald, Velma Muriel. Passed away at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, on Tuesday, June 14th, 2011, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Morris McDonald (Nov. 2010). Mother of Linda (Gordon) Armstrong, John (Mirella) McDonald, Lee (Tim) Doyle, and Isabella “Liz” (Carl) Scheuler. Grandmother of Valerie (Ian) Drummond, Louise (Kelvin) Baker, Mark (Samantha) McDonald, Robin McDonald (Eric Loree), Tracey (Steve) Hudson, Kelly and Sherry Doyle, Jamie, Sara, and Christina Smith. Great-grandmother of Emily, and Kate Drummond, Hannah, and Darcy Hudson, Ella, and Avery McDonald, and Cameron Loree, and Kali Smith. Youngest daughter of the late John Wilson Dermott and Isabella (Gray) Dermott. Pre-deceased by her brothers Milton, Fred, Wilbert, and Bill Dermott and sisters Leeta Broome, Beulah Colquhoun, Aileen Polkinghorne, and Vera Fair. Will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
A graveside interment of cremated remains will be held in Alliston Union Cemetery, 11:00 am Tuesday, June 21st, 2011.

    So sorry to hear of your Moms passing..Your Mom and Dad were such good friends of ours for quite a number of years…We always enjoyed their phone calls and visiting them, when we happened to be in Ont, was always a pleasure….We are sure going to miss those chats….Our thoughts and prayers are with you..

    We are saddened to hear of the passing of Aunt Velma. It has been such a long struggle for her. Sorry we will not be back to get back for the service on Tuesday. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
