W. Bruce Bone

In Memorial

Bone: W. Bruce (Vet. WW II)
Passed away on Sunday August 21, 2011 at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, Ontario. Beloved husband of Mildred (nee Palmer) for 67 years. Dearly loved father of Stephen (Ann), and Susan (Paul Calder). Grandfather of Jeremy, Michael, Jonathan, Christopher, Joshua, Blythe, and Alex and Great Grandfather of Brayden. Bruce always felt privileged to have served in the Royal Canadian Navy, primarily aboard the Hepatica, corvette K159. Bruce was very proud of his career successes. He held a leadership role as Vice-President, A.C.Wickman Ltd., Past President, Canadian Machine Tool Distributors Association, and Past Director, American Machine Tool Distributors Association, Washington, D.C.. Bruce retired in 1987. The family is grateful for the kind assistance of Patricia from Bayshore Home Health while Bruce was at home and to the staff of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.

The Family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Wednesday August 24, 2011 from 2pm until time of Service in the Chapel at 3pm. Followed by interment in St. John’s Cemetery 6th Line. Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to the SickKids Foundation, 525 University Avenue 14th Floor, Toronto, M5G 2L3.
