Royce Mabee

In Memorial

Mabee, Daniel “Royce” Bertram.

  (RCAF Flying Officer, Squadron 431, Inducted into the Canadian Hall of Valour, Ottawa, 2009, Vice President of Ruth Mabee Real Estate). Peacefully at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011. Royce Mabee, in his 89th year, beloved husband of Ruth (Atchison). Loving father of Daniel (Gladys) and Dale (Doug DeCarle). Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Tamara (Ed Bier) and Jennie DeCarle (Louis DeSousa), step-grandchildren, Derek Lockerbie (Adriana), Justin Lockerbie and great-grandchildren Jaden Douglas Bier and Haleigh Marie Bier. Dear brother of Clifford and Evelyn Mabee and the late Ken Mabee, and Stella Archibald. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Ailene Mabee.

  The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Saturday, September 10th, 2011 from 11:00 am until time of memorial service, in the chapel at 1:30 pm. Legion Service will begin at 1:15pm.  Donations in Royce’s memory to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. https://www.rodabramsfuneralhome.com/

    Ruth, I just talked to you on the phone..you and Royce were my first real employers after I got married so long ago. Royce had a great smile and I will always remember times in the office with you both. So sorry that he is gone. Linda

    Elida, Carlos and I are very sorry about your loss, on Saturday will be with you to say good bye to our dear Royce Dan’s father and Ruth’s husband, it was an honour to know him and we are very sad that he is gone, he will be miss by a lot people

    To Ruth, Dan and Family, my deepest sympathies. It’s always hard to lose someone so dear. It was nice to have had the chance to meet him many times and I appreciated the way he made Gladys (my aunt) a welcome member of his family.
