Peacefully with her family by her bedside at Royal Victoria Hospital Barrie, on Monday September 10, 2012. Viola Hitchman in her 89th year, beloved wife of Malcolm “Max” Philpott, and the late J. Hamilton Watson. Loving mother of George and Agnes Watson of Barrie, Jim Watson of Alliston, Bill and Nancy Watson of Loretto, Muriel and Rick Hutley of Hamilton, and Anna and Bill Malcolm of Barrie. Remembered with love by her 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers: Robert, Gordon, George, Albert, and her sister: Annie. Dear sister in law of Ethel Hitchman.
