My sincere condolences to Riet and the family, espessially Gordon, who went to school with our twins. I always respected Joe for his knowledge and enthousiasme. Our relationship goes back many years. I was working for Solty from 1963 to 1971. It was a good time for our family growing up in the country. I met Gorden later when I was working in Brampton
It is hard to deny our common Dutch Heritage. I will keep Joe and the family in my prayers

Joe; Reit; Gord;Roger;Steve- you’ve lost such a precious personality.
In business, in social moments, Joe was ALWAYS such a steady and honest man. And what a builder; from sod to mulch to asparagus to becoming a seasoned sailor; loved the guy-Martin & Denise

Please accept my sincere condolences. Death is our great enemy. May you find comfort and hope in the words of Revelation 21:4 when “death will be no more, nor mourning, nor pain be anymore…”

Fondest Memory…After Co passed away and we were all hurting so badly..Joe came to visit with Mom(Lynda Dol) and I at her home a few weeks after. My Son who was 2 at the time heard his boisterous voice and laugh…came around the corner and yelled out “Opa Joe”. He went right to him..Joe swooped him up without hesitation…tossed him around playing with him. He never corrected him for calling him that. Smiles came to our faces for the first time in weeks… then some tears..then finally, some peace. Still makes me smile remembering as I type this. Sadly missed and fondly remembered..

Dear Maria, Roger, Steve, Gordon and Family,

Dana and I are so sorry for your loss. I always looked up to Joe as a respected business man who worked very hard and accomplished great success in life.

Joe had the Entrepreneurial twinkle in his eye and when we talked business I could sense the excitement in his voice and the pride he took in building his many business’s. I learned a great deal from the conversations we had and it has in many ways guided my direction as I go forward with my entrepreneurial dreams.

I am fortunate to have known Joe and that our paths crossed. He is a guy I will never forget and always admire.
