The Partland Family,
Upon reflection of people that had great meaning in our lives. I thought of a couple that made a mark on me when I first started in Long Term Care. George and Barb Partland came to mind. George, at the time was declining in health but Barb was an angel to me. Her inspirational words and ultimate kindness glowed through her declining health. Barbs attitude was one to admire and respect. The family that came to IOOF in support of their loved ones amazed to me. G.P. & Chris, especially, THANK YOU for your support for your parents. It showed me the compassion and care that I will always carry with me through my work in looking after our seniors in need. God Bless your parents and your entire family in this time of loss. Always & Forever, John, Fatima and The Lefrancois Family now in New Brunswick originally from Barrie, Ontario.

Barb was a wonderous light in all our lives. She was an incredible role model for all young women at a time when there were few. She lead by example, teaching us to balance friends, work, love and life but always family first. And she taught us that God is cool, as was she! Thank you Barb, for giving so much. You are always in our hearts.

Barb would light up a room when she entered! I really have never met anyone quite like her. I had the great fortune of spending many special moments with Barb and her amazing family. Barb adored her kids and grandchildren, it was magic just to be around them all.

Whether it was medical attention or advice or a fun-filled social evening, Barb was a very integral part of community life in Colgan. She was a sincere friend and a faith-filled member of the Parish. She carried these characteristics through her later years and will be dearly missed, especially her radiant smile and hearty laugh. Our prayers are with her dear family and friends.

Barb was my rock when I was going through my cancer. We both went through our Chemo at the same time and when I was terrified she showed me an incredible strength and will that helped me tremendously. I will never forget her kind, compassionate and loving nature. She was a true friend in every way. I will miss her.
Pastor Paul Wilkes says
What a wonderful example to others, a lady with a strong faith and a bright light to all who saw her. She will be greatly missed, my last great memory is of the powerful way that she read the Gospel on Good Friday here at the Home.
She is now at peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family at this sad time.
