I will always remember that Fran Carney treated me with nothing but kindness for the years I visited the Carney residence in my youth. Undeniably, one of the nicest, most sincere individuals I ever met. Rest in peace, Mrs. C.

Dear Theresa, Anne and the entire Carney family,
Sincere sympathy is sent to all of you on the passing of a great and wonderful lady. I will remember her for many reasons- one of the most significant being that, I was put in touch with her by your Aunt Jeanne. Fran became the real estate agent who assisted me in acquiring my first apartment in Tottenham so long ago. …..my prayers are with you….

Your parents were leaders and great role models of faith in our Parish, which our family will never forget. I did not know your mom that well but when I think of you Anne, Theresa and Louise and your strong, independent, musical and most importantly caring and faith-filled personalities, you must have had an awesome mother to lead you the way. It is nice to know that Mrs. Carney will be with your dad in heaven now after being separated for so long. Our sincerest sympathy to all of your family. Our prayers are with you.

Life is interesting how it brings people together…. Your Dad did the photos of our wedding way back in 1971. We were not from the Tottenham area, and never had any thought of moving to that area…but low and behold… we did…in 1973. We went through the ‘tribe’ of babysitters, paper carriers etc. We transported the organ back and forth from Uncle Bob’s to the St. Pattys euchres and even had private ‘bridge lessons’ from your Mom and Dad. In all the years I knew your Mom, I never heard an unkind word spoken about anyone and her sense of humor always prevailed, not matter what the circumstances… she will remain a treasure in my heart… Blessings to all…

To the Carney family we send our sympathy. Fran was like a second mom during all those teenage years I was running around with Leonard. I don’t know how she kept track of every rug-rat that came through the kitchen, but she did. What a great lady, and now, she is back with Fred after 25 years. Bless her heart.

To all our Carney cousins we send a loving embrace to comfort you. We all know Aunt Fran has now joined the clan on the brighter side and is in her glory to be surrounded by their love. We will miss her cheery attitude and caring nature. Tons of beautiful memories of holidays at the Carney house – Aunt Fran just never minded how many kids were running around her house – the more the merrier! We will miss her and will keep her and her family in our prayers. Love to all!

Dear Carney family, It is truly the passing of an era when our dear neighbour Fran is no longer with us. From the day we moved next door in 1970, Fran(and, of course, Fred before his untimely death) were always there with a hearty “Hi, neighbour!” and, if needed, a helping hand. We will never forget Fran coming over to swaddle our first baby, Sjanie(who is now in her 30s), in the first few hours she was home from hospital and, of course, with such experienced hands, quiet ensued. When dealing with a huge tree falling down right between our two houses or discussing the latest additions to the family, it was always a good experience talking to Fran. It is hard to imagine our corner of the world without her and she will be much missed. Our deepest condolences to you in your loss.

To all of our loving Carney Cousins,

God bless all of you at this time of the loss of your dear mom, grandmother and great grandmother Frances. She is home with Fred, and together they are the “picture” of peace and happiness.

We all knew Aunt Frances, her big smile, her welcoming embrace, her quick humour and love of family, and of her maker. She was my godmother, an honour you will never know how much I treasured all of my life. I took her name at my confirmation, and now, send every wish for the spirit of our faith to keep all of you in the loving knowledge that Frances is home.

We are with you in missing her, and yet she is on the breath of every prayer we all share.

    Love to all,
