An outstanding leader and strategic thinker, Bob generously provided sound counsel to many in the paper industry. Throughout his career he remained a student of the business, able to accurately interpret the many nuances. His industry legacy is thoughtfulness, integrity and professionalism. I will miss his friendship. My condolences to Donna and the family.

so sorry to hear about Bob..he sat behind me in class at St Mikes we talked a lot at recess over the years..I remember telling him how spaghetti seeds were planted in long narrow rows in Italy and between the rows were planted meatball bushes..he bought it for awhile because I overheard him telling an Italian classmate the story…who set him straight…he was mad at me for a bit..but got over it..those were good years..

God put Bob on this Earth for a reason. It was to show the rest of us what it means to be a truly good human being. He was a fine example of kindness, honesty and humility to all his friends in the Basement Group, and we all loved him and looked up to him.

My sincere condolences to the entire Barrowclough family.
Although I haven’t been in contact with Bob for many years, I have comforting memories of our strong relationship as kids when we lived in the same neighbourhood and attended St. Thomas and St. Mike’s together. Bob was a very loyal and accommodating friend for which I am most thankful. I will remember Bob and your family in my prayers. Bill.

    Dear Donna,
I only met you last May under very stressful circumstances. You told me that your husband,Bob,was going through experimental treatments. You were also dealing with your brother Peter,my next door neighbour.
You were amazing in your strength to deal with all these issues.I admire you so much.
I was truly saddened to hear of your Bob’s passing.I know you will be strong dealing with this, but it is still hard.
I never met Bob but he sounds like an amazing person. Please convey all our sympathies to you & your family. I am thinking of you.
    Roberta

    Donna and Family,
I worked with Bob for close to thirty years.A great analytical mind and an independent thought process were two of his great strengths- along with his self effacing dry sense of humour. We had a great working relationship and were trusted by the company to take business risks. He was humble in success and gracious when things didn’t go as well as planned. He was a trusted confidant and we are poorer for his passing.
I will be thinking of Bob and you, his family, this weekend.Unfortunately Pam and I can’t make it but will make every effort to attend the celebration of his life.
