I did not know my childhood friend and good buddy Bob Barbour died back in 2014…..sorry. I was just reminiscing to myself this morning and thought I’d put his name into Google and look what came up….his obituary….WOW. I know it’s been a looong time since we spoke or touched base but I did not think it was this long….wow time flies as we get older. Sad to hear you’ve passed on to a better place….might see you sooner than we think…..Laurie Belsey, Queen St, Midland, Ontario

    Teena,
So sorry to hear about your loss.
I have many memories of Bob that bring many smiles .
From corn roasts to skiing at the farm to birthdays.
After dad passed Bob was there for me to help in times that I would have needed dad to help me through. Bob always had a kind word and sound advice that helped in a way that only the two bobbies could do.
I wish I had had the chance to go for a veal sandwich with him as he and dad were known to do
I will miss him but always remember him

To Bob’s Family – Like so many who have already sent their tributes, I’m going to recite a similar list of the wonderful qualities that defined Bob. A gentleman, and a gentle man. Strong, kind, compassionate and passionate. A smart man and a wise man. Always a smile no matter how well – or how little – he knew you. Thank you dear Barbour family for sharing him with us. We understand your loss, and send you much love. ~ Janette (Watt)

    Suzanne & Liam,
Our sincere condolences. There are so many parallels you and I share in our lives Suzanne. This is yet another. Our dad’s (Dave Lapierre) are re-united to reminisce about the good old days on the force when they were in their prime. How I miss those days when health and youth was in their favour. Blessings to you and your family

I had the pleasure of seeing Bob interact with his grandson Liam, when Bob came to pick him up for their excursions. The joy they took in one another are memories to treasure. Bob was a kind, caring man who was always there for his daughters and grandchildren. He is and will be greatly missed. To the whole Barbour family, may you find comfort in your loss.
