I was deeply saddened to hear of Hans passing. I had been into the butcher only a few days prior and was speaking with him and inquiring of his health and how he was feeling following his recent surgery. Even though he was thinner he still had that ready smile and was always happy to see his customers. I will miss coming in and not chatting with him. My heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you during this very difficult time. Please know he will always be with you in spirit.

Words seem inadequate to express the saddness we feel over Hans’ passing. He was always so devoted to his family and proud of his girls. He was an incredible man, an example and role model for us all. His kind heart will always be remembered. And to Hans’ family, wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. You are all in our prayers.

I was so sorry to hear of Han’s sudden passing. He was a good friend and a solid business person. I can recall many chats we had over the years about the value of selling and giving quality to the customer, something he was very proud to do. I remember that smoke house he had outside of Bolton where we talked about the value of smokeing the beef shank bones for dog bones, and now you can see how far ahead of his time he was when I go into pet shops and see them on the shelf. He was a good kind person and a comrade at arms. There will be some darn fine Ham and Kolbossa being served at the banquets in heaven now. Hans, you will be missed. Ken & Bonnie Pratt

There are many people that come and go in our lives. Only a few touch us in ways that change us forever. Knowing Hans was a joy in every respect. May each of us find peace and joy as we reflect on Hans, and give thanks to God for sharing him with us these past 68 years. And while we’re at it, let’s whisper “Thanks” to Hans, for sharing his love, and his spirit, and his goodness with us.

I wish I could be there to give you my best. Hans was a great guy, I looked forward to calling the house and him answering, he always had a funny comment, inquired about our boys, & myself. He was always a pleasure to talk to, and had a great way of calming you when he talked.
We are truly sad for your loss.
    Love Leah, Ron & boys.
