In his 68th year, peacefully with family by his side on Sunday November 9, 2014. Doting father of children: Lee-Anne Rivett (Stephen), Calvin, Phil (Ashley), and grandchildren:Alyssa, Gillian, William, Regan, Lucus, Jacob, Jordan, and French Fry Maci. Loving son of the late Elva Pearl and Edgar Merklinger. Survived by his brothers and sisters: George (Lyn), Ardella Horan (the late Tom), Sharon Kant (Bob), Gwendolyn Gagnon (the late Alan), and Carl.
Resting at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Wednesday November 12, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Alliance Church Alliston (648 Victoria Street E., Alliston) on Thursday November 13, 2014 at 11am. Interment Mt. Tegart Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to Stevenson Memorial Hospital Alliston would be appreciated by the family.
