Some of my fondest childhood memories centred around the Sevigny household, growing up with Bob.

Claire was a kind, loving, compassionate soul who always took the time to listen to us and give us some much needed guidance and advice in her firm but loving way. She made us feel like part of her extended family, which is why we called her “Mommsy”.

There is a special place in heaven for people like her and she will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
    God bless.

Some of my most wonderful memories of growing up involved the years we spent at night school together. It wasn’t just about learning to quilt or cook; it was the fact that Mrs. Sevigny took time to be with me. She always treated me with dignity and respect. She always listened to what I had to say and was cheerful and optimistic.

She was always supportive and kind. Leading by example, and her strength, honesty, and self respect gave me a great role model during the difficult times I faced growing up. She helped show me what it was to be true to your beliefs and do the right thing. I always felt safe around her.

I met Mrs. Sevigny 46 years ago when I started hanging out with Bob and his friends as a young 15 year old. She was always generous and giving of what little she had. She was a kind, Christian woman who leaves behind a wonderful legacy in her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Well done Claire. I wish I could be there to see you off in style.
