Robin, Janet, Joan and families send our loving thoughts to you all at this sad time. Mom, Dad and I dropped in on Russell and Eunice many times when I was visiting from Australia. They were always so happy to see us, and greeted us with such warmth. Mom and Dad and Eunice and Russell were such great friends and spent so many wonderful times together over the many many years, at home and on their wonderful travels.
    Love and sympathy,

    Memories..
How about a game of cards at a farm house on the 11th Conc?
Someone knocks on the door. Eunice answers the door saying “Well I’ll be!! Hey Russ, look who’s here!”. Russell gets out of his lazy-boy chair in the front room. It’s Sunday afternoon at Sloan’s and there’s always visitors. A few minutes later another couple pulls into the yard; before you know it, a deck of cards is on the table. Stories being shared; somebody is wondering how old so and so is. Eunice gets out her little black book; if you’re anybody, she will have your birthday in that book! After a couple hours of cards, Eunice says her and Russ need to do chores at the chicken barn…but “of course you will all stay for supper. We won’t be long.” – In no time at all, they are back from the barn. Eunice then prepares the vegetables to go with the roast she has been cooking this afternoon. Everyone enjoys the beautiful meal she has made. After supper, the table is cleared, dishes washed and the cards come out again. — This is a day that has been repeated hundreds of times; it was all made possible by the steady hand of Eunice. She was a Henry and always seemed to know her way.
She will be greatly missed by many friends and family including the both of us.
You are in our thoughts and in our hearts.
    Deepest Condolences,
    Liz & R.J.
