To my dear friend of almost 40 years John – who I consider to be a brother – as well as Aaron, Lisa, Amy, Katie and your loved ones.
Kathy was such a genuine person, who put everyone at ease with her gracious manner a twinkle in her eyes and great sense of humour.
A bright light of kindness and humanity has gone from our presence.
However, witnessing firsthand how your family and friends have pulled together during this hardest of times, its clear that Kathy has left an indelible mark on all of us.
Those at the visitations yesterday where some of her works were displayed will agree with me that Kathy had great talent as a painter. Through these paintings, Kathy’s perspectives on the world she saw will live on for us all to see and embrace forever.
Bless you Kathleen for all you have done for us. May we honour your memory by conducting ourselves in the caring and loving manner you always did.

Ray & I & our daughter, Stephanie were shocked & very saddened to hear of the passing of Kathy. She was the first friend I made when we moved up to Aurora from Guelph 36 years ago. We met when I was taking Stephanie to catch the bus for school & there was Kathy with her 3 girls. Everyone is grown up now but I can still remember the 3 young girls & their smiling, giggly mom who reached out to us in friendship. God Bless her always. May God give you all the courage & strength to get through this difficult time.
    Love from the Ariss Family.

Kathy was an amazing woman. She was kind, caring, empathic, understanding, and an all around wonderful person.

On more than one occasion, she had made the trip from Tottenham just to see me, and gave me food when I had little or none.

Kathy would phone me every few weeks to see how I was doing, other than my mother, she was the only other person who would phone me to do that, I’m truly going to miss those call’s.

It was a genuine privilege to have been fortunate enough to know her.

My deepest condolences to John, Aaron, Amy, Lisa, Katie & the rest of her family.

I cannot tell you how shocked and sadden I was to hear of Kathy’s sudden passing.
Though it has been many years since I was seeing Kathy on a regular basis I still loved bumping into her around town and getting caught up.
I know how much she loved she family and was devoted to them. I cannot even imagine the loss you must all be feeling right now.
Please know as Kathy was loved so are all of you. You are surronded by a great network of support that I am sure is praying for you and would do anything for you.
Love and light in this difficult time.

Dear John, Aaron, Lisa, Amy, Katie and your families.

Colleen and I are so saddened at the sudden and unexpected passing of Kathy.

I had spoken with her and John on Saturday evening as they were traveling to a mutual friends place on lake Simcoe for the weekend. As always, the conversation was humorous and heartfelt and we all talked about how we should get together soon.

We will miss her great laugh and her genuine interest in how our family members were doing and what was new with them.

Kathy was such a genuine person, who put everyone at ease with her gracious manner a twinkle in her eyes and great sense of humour.

Over at your house yesterday I was again so impressed with Kathy’s great talent as a painter.

I know that our boys, Peter and Mark, who grew up with “The Bauers” and enjoyed so many years of camping, cottaging and snowmobiling will miss their “Aunt Kathy”.

Colleen and I will miss her too.. greatly
