In Memorial

Dale: Ruth Ida Jean

The family of Ruth Dale regrets to announce her passing at Southlake Regional Health Centre Newmarket, on Tuesday May 5, 2020. Ruth Dale (nee: Cairns) in her 81st year. Loving wife of the late Alsey Dale. Loving mother of Keith Dale (Jean), Jean James (Geoff), and the late James Dale. Remembered with love by her four grandchildren: Nicole (Alex), Jesse (Carleigh), Augusta (Brent), and Austin (Nicole). Lovingly remembered by her sister Evelyn Henderson (Trevor Henry), and her brother in law Dr. Bill Dale (Margaret). Forever in the hearts of her extended family and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Southlake Hospital and the staff of CHATS who cared for Ruth.

In the wake of the Covid Pandemic a private Graveside Interment of cremated remains will be held. A Celebration of Ruth’s life will be held when it is once again possible to gather in groups larger than 10. Family and friends are encouraged to watch the funeral home website as dates and times become available.  For those who wish, donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

To show your support to Ruth’s family please leave written tributes and condolences below in the tribute section of this webpage.

Until we meet again…

We think about you always,

We talk about you still,

You have never been forgotten,

And you never will.

We hold you close to our hearts,

And there you will remain,

To walk and guide us through our lives,

Until we meet again.

Keith & Jean, Jean & Geoff, Evelyn & Trevor and families….The loss of a Mom, grandma and sister is tough and it doesn’t matter what the age, your heart aches….May your memories of Ruth be kept close to your heart. I can remember being at Uncle Stewart and Aunt Edna’s and Ruth would be ironing her poodle skirt and not just one, plus blouses to go with them. She did a fabulous job and was still smiling. Always ready for a laugh. A beautiful person inside and out. She will be missed but never forgotten. I just want to give you all a big hug…..

    To all the Dale Family:
I was so sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. Ruth played many roles in my life-she was a great Community member; I took over her Arena Booth List in the early 80’s;she was my Landlady and most recently my neighbour in the ‘Condo’. Ruth could be trusted with a secret, was always kind, loved a laugh and will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. You have my respect and condolences.

As a younger cousin, I always found Ruth to be pretty quiet. She definitely had a great sense of humour, had lots of adventures with Oz and stood up for what she believed in…she was kind to us little ones. She is on a new adventure now…. Please know that she was greatly loved….hugs and lots of love to you all. xoxo

Keith, Jean, Evelyn and families, our sincere condolences on Cousin Ruth’s passing. Always a tragedy, but particularly tough in this pandemic period when we cannot get together to grieve and console one another. We understand that this was not totally unexpected. Remember the good times as I remember the good times on the Cairns farm. Stay safe & healthy.
