not sure if this is the same Jimmy Childs that I remember from elementary school, but the photo looks a lot like the kid who lived on the corner of Warnica and Stock in Etobicoke back in the 1950s. Jim and I played together often, had our fights as kids did then and were best friends again the next day. We went to Queensland Public School at the top of Culnan: played ball in the school field; “cowboys & indians,” hide & seek, etc around the streets and backyards all around us. I lost track of Jimmy when the family moved into a neighbouring school zone north of Norseman further up Islington towards Royal York. We had a brief relationship then often playing in the fields on his parents property. I remember the dump trucks parked around the house on Warnica, and then a municipal regulation forbidding such vehicles being parked on residential property.
Sorry to hear that Jim had passed. Rest in peace, Jim.
    Peter.

    Dear Barb and Family,
I haven’t known Jim for a long time, but had a privilage to be around in the last weeks of his life. Knowing him and wittnessing his suffering and love for the Family was a gift, a blessing and a transformative experience. May Jim’s love and presence be alive in your hearts forever. My thoughts, heart and prayers go to you in that time of sadness. Love. Alex

I was sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. We were compatriots in the Insurance business for a long time and felt a connection to each other. He was a nice guy, a capable broker and a gentle soul. He will be missed.
