I don’t know if anyone in the family will see this now, but I just discovered it today. We met Tom and Mary at Ocala Forest Campground in Florida. We became fast friends, and he and my husband Ken played golf nearly every day. The four of us also bowled together, and kept in touch over the years. We went there for a visit once and were introduced to some of his children. I was able to speak with him after his beloved Mary died. They were both remarkable people and space does not permit me to say more. I tried to get in touch after my husband passed away recently, and found this obituary. Belated condolences to his family. They are both missed.

So sorry to learn of your father’s passing. We had been away for the summer. Your parents were the first neigbours we met when we moved to the 5th line in 1973. The farm life was all around us..It wasn’t long before we were greeted by a hugh sow on the front lawn. They both made the community what it was . Making newbies welcome with that country flair of people helping people.

A couple that will always be remembered and missed.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Walsh family. I had the privilege of working with Tom at the Township. He would always light up my day when he came into the office, such a great man. Loved the many baked goods Mary would bring into the office as well. May you rest in peace Tom. Love from Charlene, Larry White & Family.

I always enjoyed chatting with Tom and seeing that big smile at Simcoe County Federation of Agriculture meetings when he was the representative from County Council to the SCFA.
Tom was “outstanding in his field”. Whether that was farming, family or politics.
    He will be missed.

Sincere condolences to the Walsh family; Tom was a great man. I remember as a kid getting dropped off at the Beeton arena for an away game at Chesswood arena in Toronto. Tom came in to drop off Francis and get back to the farm, but we realized there was not enough cars to take everybody down to the game, so Tom decided to take me and Francis. Tom had just done the chores so we had to stop at Strachan’s car wash to get the cow #### off his rubber boots. Having been raised on a farm I didn’t think anything of it, and away we went to Toronto. We got Harvey’s coupons from the other team after the game so we went and had a burger and fries. We thought we had won the lottery. Those were good times

We are sad to hear that former Mayor Tom Walsh of Adjala Tosorontio has died. Tom was a Pillar of the Community. He put his heart and soul into his leadership for a record number of years. He was well respected in the area, the County and beyond. The beautiful Administration Centre on the 30th side road was built with his initiative. He was a great neighbour to New Tecumseth. Tom was a hard working farmer beginning his day with his dairy herd before 6:00 a.m. and often seen on his combine well into the evening. Unfortunately, we are currently out of the area, but our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
    With much respect,

From the Hadwen Family, offering our condolences on the passing of a great man, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He had the greatest laugh always willing to stop and talk. He had quite the legacy and many memories for family to revisit over and over.
