To all of Louise’s family – especially Charlene and Paul – my sincere condolences on your loss of Louise. I only just heard that she has passed away and I am so sorry to have missed the celebration of her beautiful life. I remember many happy years as you and our children grew up and attended St. James School together, her participation in the choir at St. Mary’s in Achill, and singing with her in the Achill Choral Society. Hers was a beautiful life, lived in service of our beloved Lord and we can be sure that she is with him now in peace and joy. May this be a comfort to you and all the family at this time.

We were sad to hear of Louise’s passing. We first met Louise and Kim when the Achill Choral Society was formed in 1982. We spent many years together singing and organizing choir activities on the ACS Executive committee. I have fond memories of our first Concert Tour to Holland when Kim and Louise were billeted next door to our host family.
Sending comforting energy to you and your family as you celebrate and remember Louise’s life.

My apologies Marg for being so tardy responding to your very thoughtfully kind message. I am finally more emotionally prepared to reminisce viewing these heartfelt messages about our rock, our amazing sister, Louise.
I do well remember those wonderful years growing up with you as our neighbour and bff of Louise. Jane, Marjorie and I being the younger sisters always felt quite honoured to be accompanying our older sister and her bff on our Halloween adventures. Austin McKenna, being a big kid at heart himself, I believe had every bit as much fun as we did!
On behalf of my sisters Jane and Marjorie, thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and sharing of memories.

    Some of my memories:
Going to Kim and Louise’s home after choir practice in earlier years and singing and dancing around the pool table.
Stopping at your church to sing Happy Birthday to you while you were working in the gardens, you were so surprised I would remember it.
You will now be singing with Kim in heaven.

Although I am saddened by Louise’s sudden death I also know she was a lady who was totally devoted to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament . She spent countless hours before Him in prayer in St. Francis Xavier church during Perpetual Adoration . Many , many of these hours were throughout the night and whatever the weather she faithfully came . She was someone who personified the word “ service “ and did this in so many ways in our Parish Community . Thank you Louise and rest now in the arms of The Lord . Deepest sympathy to her family .

I am so sorry for your loss and for our community’s loss. Louise was such a kind, quiet soul with her beautiful sweet smile. I will never forget how supportive she was of mom when she was going through her cancer treatments and would come to bring communion to her each Sunday. When I had my injury she did the same. I knew she did the gardens of St. James but I did not realize until the other day she also cleaned the church; vacuuming and dusting plus so much more. What a dedicated woman of faith and love. Our parish has lost a very special soul. May the angels carry you home.
