Sue & family, Ian, Sherry and all your families,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Allan.
Allan was genuine, a very kind, gentle, and compassionate man. He always had a smile & time to greet you, no matter where you met him, on the street, in a store or at the Funeral home; where he was, opening the door, with his welcoming smile.
He touched so many people’s lives.
We will always be thankful for Allan. He was a real blessing to us when our Dad & Mom passed. We all were very thankful for his words of wisdom & direction, before, at the time & afterwards as well.
We will miss him, as will this community.
Praying that Father God will bless & comfort you all as you go through this very difficult time.

We are so sorry to hear of Allan’s passing. Please accept our most sincere condolences to his family, friends, and co-workers. My father Albert Bulman had the most respect for Allan. He always said he was a very nice young man. Whenever I walked into Abrams funeral home and Allan was there he always had a smile a big hello and knew my name. I didn’t know him well but that previous sentence said it all.

Al’s presence was always full of smiles, laughter, friendship and support. I never once felt like Al wasn’t waiting with anticipation for the next laugh.
He always had a story or a comment that brought levity to any moment. His laugh was contagious and absolutely unique.

I met Al through the fire service. I always looked for him in the crowd. He was that guy you could share any moment – good or bad, and feel like you were never alone.

The entire Dunlop family are sending our heartfelt condolences to Sue and family, Sherry Lynn and family, Ian and family, Wendy and Wayne and family and the entire Blakely connection. We are thinking of everyone at this difficult time and hope all your wonderful memories of Allan will bring some comfort to you. The Blakely family have been good friends with the Dunlop family since the early 1950’s when John and Oline came to Canada from Northern Ireland and were befriended by Elgin and Margaret. The Dunlop family spent time at the Blakely farm many times when we lived on the farm in Beeton back in the late 1960’s and after we moved back to Toronto. Darlene and Allan attended North Tecumseth Central Public School in the same classes together for the 3 years we lived in Beeton. We will cherish the many happy memories we have of Allan.

Dear Blakey families and Rod Abrams professional family,

Today my family mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished and ‘devoted’ professional within our community.

We send blessings of healing as you, celebrate the memory of a genuinely kind-hearted man, and a wonderfully compassionate human being. We have no doubt Allen’s loss will be mourned quite deeply by countless others within the Tottenham community for being a credit to his profession, and a friendly, gregarious man that touched the lives of many.

My family owe Allen the most heartfelt dept for his years of compassion and guidance throughout some of our darkest moments while mourning the loss of our own loved ones…Allen was always the “calm” after the storm…May he experience the same peace and joy in his new home that he gave so freely to others when he was among us.

    Most sincerely,

Allan and I were classmates at Humber College graduating together in 1989. Allan had that greatest laugh which was infectious. When he started to laugh we all did. Over the years we would see each other at the odd professional function and we would reminisce about our college days. Allan was incredibly kind and a true gentleman. I offer you my deepest condolences.

    So sorry for your loss.

When I took my elderly father to funeral visitations at Abram’s, Alan was always so quick to lend a guiding hand and make sure my dad didn’t have to stand too long. He would engage Dad in farming stories and Dad would tell us threshing stories about old time farmers and neighbours in the area. We learned a lot of local farm history, to our delight. Of course Alan always updated me about his children. He was so proud of you all. Alan was insightful and kind- a very special person. Treasure your wonderful memories.

My heart goes out to all the members of his immediate family in particular that I got to know so well and admired during the years that we, my daughter Michèle-Renée, and my departed wife, Léanne lived at the Blakely’s in the 70’s. Allan and I shared such good times together as we developed a deep brotherly-like relationship. Such a great loss indeed for that wonderful family, his community and all his friends he’s leaving behind. He has deeply touched all of us in such wonderful ways. May you Rest In Peace, my dear Allan.
