Hutchison: Beatrice,
Peacefully at Riverwood Senior Living, Beatrice entered into eternal rest on Thursday September 29, 2022. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Hutchison. Loving mother of Iain and Janice. Cherished Granny of Sara (Darel), James, and Steven.
Beatrice McGuigan was born on October 3, 1930 in Cardigan P.E.I. She was the eldest of eight children born to Cecily and John McGuigan. She left P.E.I. at the age of 16 and went to Nova Scotia for a short period before moving to Ontario where she met and wed William “Bill” Hutchison. Beatrice worked for Steri Systems before retiring and moving to Tottenham to be closer to her family.
Survived by her brother Ralph of P.E.I., brother in laws Wayne and Doug of P.E.I. Predeceased by siblings Bernice, Eileen, Norbert, Melvin, Winnifred, and Doris.
The Family is grateful to the nurses and staff of Riverwood Senior Living Alliston, for their care and compassion for Granny over the past years.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at a Memorial Service in the chapel at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477, on Tuesday October 11, 2022 with Visitation from 10am until the time of Memorial Service at 11am. Reception will follow. Interment will be held in Glendale Memorial Gardens. In memory of Beatrice, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Thinking of you in this difficult time. Aunt Bea has a special place in my heart. I have many memories of her as a child, hanging out with her and my mom, As a teen she would come and take just me out for lunch, and when my children came along she made them all baby blankets.
