
Perkins. Bernice Wilma Estelle (Seargeant)
Passed suddenly and peacefully, at IOOF Seniors Homes Inc., Barrie, Ontario on Tuesday June 7th, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Loving mother of daughters, Myrna Jacques (Norman) of Midhurst, ON and Bonnie Hoyt (Donald) of Lunenburg, ON and her late son, Lee Perkins formerly of Cochrane Alta.
Bernice was the beloved and much loved wife of the late Clifford Perkins of Midhurst, ON. She will be missed by her granddaughters, Wendy Girard (late Curtis) of Tottenham ON, Samantha Morgan (Nick) of Midhurst, ON, Erin Rayton (Bob) of Kamloops, BC, Jodi Hoyt (Jay) of Ottawa, ON and Mark Hoyt (Catia) of Toronto, ON.
The much loved GeeGee of her great grandchildren Winter, Colby, Willow and Clifford Girard of Tottenham, ON and Brody Hoyt of Ottawa, ON.
Bernice, the second youngest of a family of thirteen, was born in Murillo, ON and raised in Thunder Bay, ON. She is survived by sisters Marion Budnik (late Bill) of Thunder Bay, ON and Iris Friesen (Dale) of Chilliwack, BC. Loving daughter of the late Walter and Eliza Seargeant and siblings, all predeceased, Kenneth (Anna), Robert (June), Nathaniel (Olive), Wallace (Marg), Harold (Marg) and Muriel (Jack) Durocher, Zella (Dave) Giesbrecht, Ella Seargeants, Ruth (Lawrence) Larson, Phyllis (Dave ) Clink.
Bernice met and married the love of her life and left the Lakehead area to move onto a farm in Vespra Township. They raised their small family, instilling in them with a love of God and solid country values. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Elizabeth and Henry Perkins, of Dalston, ON and sister-in-law of, all predeceased, Harry (Nellie), Frank (Louise), William (Rose), Fred (surviving wife Ruth), and Ethel (Bob) Dwinnell, Helen (Bill) Ringland, Florence (Everett) Cooper and May Handy. She leaves behind many, many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the next few weeks. Please contact IOOF Seniors Homes Inc, Barrie, ON (705) 728-2389 for the exact time and date of service, as this information is still pending. Arrangements are being made for a private family interment.
