I remember Betty from when she used to come get Bob from Loretto Tavern. Always a good chat. Sorry for your loss Bob and Cindy. I was his pool buddy Tonto’s wife.

My grandma Betty, who I always called Nanny was the most carrying and loving person.

She was also the most influential person in my life. She taught me so much over the years.

She taught me about unconditional love.

She taught me to laugh at myself.

She taught me to cherish the little things in life.

She taught me to work hard and help others.

She taught me to stand tall in the face of adversity and never be ashamed of who I am or where I came from.

I grew up knowing there was no hurdle I couldn’t overcome if I gave it my all.

She was always there when I needed a shoulder to cry on.

She neve judged me, just offered her words of wisdom when I needed them.

She taught me to bake and cook. Some of my most precious memories come from our time in the kitchen. We cooked baked laughed and shared stories in the kitchen growing up.

She taught me to knit, sew, make ceramics, and the list goes on.

Everyone in my family has had a part in shaping me as the person I am today, and I will forever be grateful.

Betty, Mom, Grandma/Nanny she was the pillar of our family and gave us all so much love.

I know she’s at peace and in the arms of those who have gone on ahead.

Rest in peace Nanny. You will forever be in my heart.
