Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Tuesday February 25th, 2014. Bill Flanagan in his 80th year, beloved son of the late Bill Sr. and Olive. Loving brother of Isobel (late Gord) Wilder, Ann (late Ron) Coffey, Sister Peggy, and Terry (Ann). Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Respecting Bill’s wishes cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Tuesday March 4th, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. We were so sad to hear of Bill’s passing. We were very lucky to have Bill as our neighbor on Centre Street in Lloydtown for many years. Our boys grew up knowing Bill as our trusted friend and wonderful neighbor, with the great tobogganing hill. We had many lovely talks under his silver maple tree. Bill was a lifelong neighbour of my parents in Lloydtown. Later he became my mother’s neighbour across the hall at Chestnut Manor. He was a godsend to me in that he looked out for my mother while I was looking for an LTC placement for her. I could call at any time and he would zip across the hall to see that she was all right. God bless him…he was a good neighbour.
