Brenda Joyce Ekins

In Memorial

Ekins Brenda

Ekins: Brenda Joyce (nee Jewell),

Brenda Joyce Ekins nee Jewell has been summoned by her Lord. She leaves behind her husband Fred of 55 years, her daughter Crystal (Colin White) and her sister Nancy (Jim Smallwood). She is predeceased by daughter Amanda, sister Sharon and parents Mildred and Wilfred. She enjoyed her many years of driving school bus and crafting but she will be remembered as a kind, giving person that gave of herself to others first.

Brenda was an independent, strong-willed person who fought a hard battle with cancer only to be defeated in the end. As requested, no Funeral service or Celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to Breast Cancer Canada or Georgian Triangle Hospice, Collingwood, Ontario would be appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to Rod Abrams Funeral Home. Online condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

Brenda you were such an amazing woman and I am proud to have called you my friend. You and Fred were the first 2 I met in our group. You will be missed but I know you are at Peace and Pain Free now with your loved ones. Rest my friend and smile and know that one day we will all be reunited together.

My dearest friend, Freddy and daughter Crystal, it is with heavy heart ❤️ to hear of dear Brenda’s passing. Another precious soul joining all our other loved ones that have gone before at rest at last after many years of battle. She was such a solider and admired for her stamina for so very long…but with both of you close at her side to fight how could she not…love and hugs at this time from me to both of you…be strong
    With love,
    Yvonne Thomas

My condolences to Brenda’s Family. I remember her as a bus driver in public school when it used to be Ludlow. She used to drive an old GMC bus. She was a really nice person.
