Condolence to the Feeney Family. It is with great sorrow that I am writing this as I had just seen Bernie last Wednesday. She looked fabulous as she always did, wearing her ever captivating smile. I worked with Bernie many years ago and will always remember her kindness and her ability to elicit a smile wherever she went. Rest in sleep Bern, you will be missed.

So saddened to hear about Bernadette’s passing. What I remember most about Bernie was her kind and genuine soul who had great sense of style and fashion. Those who knew her will surely remember the way Bernadette danced back and forth, full of energy and excitement, whenever the best plans were being made for the day — and we didn’t dare mess with those plans!

Bernadette was a playful and affectionate person who loved humor. She gave me the nickname “Little Laurie,” and I still smile every time I think of it.

My condolences to Gail and the family.

Our family…Tom Suzanne Jason, Ava, Melanie and Yan and Baby Abygail were very upset to hear of the passing of Bernadette. We remember her laugh…her asking Mom if she could say something. She called Jason jasee because she couldn’t say his name. I remember many.happy Christmas at our house were Bernie had to clean every plate and bowl. I.had to hide the dishes on the oven and Beranetts caught me opening up the oven to put the dishes in the dishwasher. She said…you tricked me and laughed her funny laugh. May you rest in piece and enjoy being with her father again

My deepest condolences to Bernice’s family. I have worked with BF for many years. she was such a sweet soul. Always ready with a compliment for others. Even when I feel like I looked the worst she would tell me I looked good. I had a running joke with my partner that BF gives me more compliment than he does.

    Dear Feeney Family,

My brother Danny and I were just informed of Bernadette’s sudden passing, and we are both so deeply saddened. We’ve known Bernie for decades, and she truly charmed everyone she met with her beautiful, warm personality and unmistakable presence.

I fondly remember many Kerry’s Place parties where we’d both be in attendance especially back in the 80’s. Bernie with her Brown Cow in hand, and that unmistakable sparkle in her eye. She was always such a delight to be around, someone who brought laughter and ease to any room.

Danny, who also lives in a home supported by Kerry’s Place, had the honor of calling Bernadette his girlfriend back in the 1980s for a time. When he learned the news today, he FaceTimed me in tears, holding his head in his hands, simply repeating, “Bernie’s gone… she’s gone… she’s in heaven… I just saw her a few weeks ago” His unfiltered, heartfelt reaction speaks volumes about the kind of person Bernadette was and the profound impact she had on those who knew her.

Our whole family adored her especially our mom and dad, who always spoke so fondly of Bernie. They saw her as a light someone full of charm, humor, and heart. She made a lasting impression on all of us.

Please accept our deepest sympathies. Bernie’s memory will live on in the hearts of so many including ours and we hope the beautiful memories you shared with her bring comfort during this difficult time.

    Thinking of you all,
    Lisa & Danny Jurkovic

Dear Gail and your entire family.
Jimmie and I are so very sorry to hear of your dear Burnadette’s passing. It breaks our hearts knowing how devoted to her you were Gail, and how very much she was such a large part of your life. For us, we’ll miss hearing you respond to Burnadette’s phone calls during the Monday night euchres and, just recently, having met her there.
May you memories bring you much comfort in the days, months, and years ahead.
“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.
    Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, but very dear.”

On behalf of myself and my dear brother Adam whose history with “Bernie” at Kerry’s Place goes back decades, I can’t tell you how heartbreaking this is for us. My brother and Burnadette had the closest thing to a lifelong friendship Adam had. It was just a couple of months ago we bowled together on the same team at the Kerry’s Place bowling fundraiser. My late father Jules always had a place in his heart for “Bernie”. Heartfelt condolences.

My love and condolences to Aunt Gail, to Paul and Bill. Your daughter and sister is truly a special person and a pure soul,

Condolences also to everybody in the extended family, to friends and neighbors, Bernadette’s passing is a loss felt most keen by so many.

As a cornerstone of any family gathering any visit or family event we will feel her absence but in my mind’s eye I will see her, and I will hear her say, “Johnny, you’re looking very nice today,” and I will return the compliment.

I was so sad to hear of Bernadette’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with her over the years. We had many good times together. Her love of colour and compliments always made me smile. We enjoyed a trip to Disney in the 90’s, she enjoyed time with my daughter and I loved watching her become independent when she moved into her apartment. She’ll be sadly missed. My sincere condolence to her mom, family and the many friends she made over the years.
