LaChapelle: Carl James.

Peacefully at MacKenzie Health Centre, Richmond Hill, on Tuesday September 24th, 2013. Carl (Chapie) LaChapelle at 72 years of age, beloved husband of Eleanor (Tuttle). Loving father of Susan (Uly) Gallant, and Dan (Nancy) LaChapelle. Sadly missed by his grand daughter Sarah LaChapelle. Dear brother of Charmaine Chaupt. Fondly remembered by his many brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. An avid car buff, Carl will be greatly missed by all his old car buddies.
Resting at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Sunday September 29th, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel, 11:00 am Monday September 30th, 2013 followed by interment in St. James Cemetery, Colgan. Donations in Carl’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 112 Commerce Park Drive, Unit 1, Barrie, On., L4N 8W8 or the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Ontario Branch, 201-1599 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, On., L5G 4S1 would be appreciated by the family. www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com

    Dear Eleanor and family,
    I am so very sorry about the passing of Chappy….my heart goes out to you.
    Chappy was one of my favorite people, always a joke bout me being Mexican …always a smile, he was a gentleman, he always made me feel so welcome.
    He will be greatly missed because he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Never a dull moment when he was around

    Our best vacation was spent with you and Carl last May. I am so glad that we were invited to spend some quality with him. Your care and compassion towards Carl was a tribute to the love you shared together. May he always be remembered.
