Cowan: Doreen Alberta,
Surrounded by her loving family, Doreen Alberta Cowan (née Swan) peacefully passed away at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Ontario, on May 5, 2025, at the age of 76.
Doreen was the devoted and loving mother of Kathryn (Kat) Georgina, Keith Gordon (Tonya) and John (Karen). She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth (Ken) Gordon Cowan.
A cherished grandmother to Mylee, Triniti, Dean, Sam, and Reinaya, Josh and Victoria. Doreen’s legacy lives on in her great-grandchildren Oliver, Ellen, and Gideon.
Doreen will be fondly remembered by her siblings Connie (Marvin) Zator and Glenn. She was predeceased by her brother Ted Swan (June). Her memory will be forever held in the hearts of her extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Doreen’s Life will be held in the Cliffside Hall at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham, 905-936-3477, on Sunday June 1, 2025 from 12-3pm. Family Words of Remembrance will take place at 1:30pm. Donations in Doreen’s memory can be made to the Lung Association.
