Ed and I were teammates for 5yrs – football and rugby at WTCS. We cried when we lost and laughed when we won even in laughter we had tears. In my mind Eddie is a champ. He ran a race he could not win but guess what he gave it his best to reach the finish line . We all know he did. He will be deeply missed.

Ed was my team mate on the Sheridan football team that won the first team championship in Sheridan history. All of us on that team stayed in touch over the years and Ed always came to our regular get togethers. It was always fun to share old stories and catch up with each other and I know all of us are going to miss Ed. He was a great team mate, an even better person, he was our brother!

I met Ed in 1980 when I to work at my first financial services company. Ed was my mentor at that time and has been my friend and mentor ever since.

We shared many common experiences and even more laughs. Ed was a very special man. He treated everyone with respect and dignity.

The most important lesson I learned from Ed was to maintain calm and perspective regardless if others have become emotional and to try to view others with empathy.

Wanda and family, my sincere condolences to you in during these difficult days and wishing you all the best in the future.

Wanda, our condolences to you and family at such a difficult time. Ed was a fighter and he he fought until the end. Personally during our years together, Ed was a terrific athlete, a great coach and mentor to young athletes. Football & Baseball were his forte…Hockey third. Regardless of the sport he related to every athlete in whatever sport he volunteered in. As a staff member he was always loyal, trustworthy and honest with the athletes he was involved with.

In the Marlboro Organization we cannot say enough of the work and many hours he put in to contribute to our players’ success and that of the Marlboro Organization.

Sports will certainly miss him…we wish there were more like Ed Bajon following in his footsteps to be sure young athletes learn from a great mentor & friend.

I had the honour and privilege to be Ed’s football coach during his Junior and Senior years at Western. Ed was an unselfish player who was always willing to play any position that would benefit the team. His humble demeanour and quiet leadership was respected by all his teammates. After Ed graduated from Western we continued to stay in touch and became close friends for more than 50 years. It was a blessing to know Ed all these years. He will be missed by all who knew him. May God keep and comfort Wanda and family during this difficult time. I can well imagine that Bernie and Ed are together now reminiscing about their playing days at Western. Miss you partner!

I worked alongside Ed for almost 10 years at RBC DS, and no matter the circumstances of the day, Ed’s calm and cheerful disposition along with his signature laughter, made even our darkest days bright. I trust those same memories will brighten the darker days ahead without him. Truly one of the nicest souls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with. Let his laughter comfort us all.
