I lament My visit for Christmas was late by two days.

I remember her appel bollen she gave me every year so fondly, often hand knit sweaters too.

Her story of immigration with her her husband leaves me inspired. From the humble beginning in lethbridge to the successful butcher shop in kleinburg and then the real estate business leave me inspired.

I remember all the stories of how in the first years her longing to return to the Netherlands.

What a success her life has been, clearly evident in her three hugely successful kids and 6 grandkids, and now how many great grandchildren.

From sewing for the Royal family in Holland, to the best baker and mother and oma one could ever ask for, well done with the life she lived.

I was so touched by her kindness throughout her life, I am glad that she is now back by Opa’s side.

Condolences to the entire family, I share your loss, hard to find such loving hearts as hers.

    Respectfully Derek Marchand

    Dear Betty and family:
I am so sad to read this notice. Your mother was such a wonderful person. I remember her coming in to Stedmans once a week or so to help us tidy up. Such a gracious lady. Please know that my thoughts are with you.

Betty, Jodi and Rick, what a grand lady she was. Always a smile and dressed to a “T”, she lived to a great age and you will miss her. Thinking about you during this difficult time.
