Peacefully at his home, on Saturday July 16th, 2016. Elmer Tiede in his 89th year, beloved husband of the late Katrina “Katie” Tiede. Loving father of Rose, Sylvia, Ed, Evelyn, Angela, David, Esther, and Steve. Sadly missed by his sons and daughters in law, his 43 grandchildren and great grandchild. Forever in the hearts of his extended family and friends who will remember his generous, joyful, and adventurous spirit.
Resting at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 7:30-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1pm on Wednesday July 20, 2016, followed by interment in Alliston Union Cemetery.

We have years of good memories of dear Elmer dating back to many years ago on the farm in Waterdown. This was followed by years of good fellowship. We have grown old together. We rejoice that he has now gone into the presence of Jesus as a result of obedience to the gospel that has bee revealed to us.
