Harris: Esther,
Peacefully at Newmarket’s Southlake Care Village on November 24, 2022.
Esther Harris (nee: Beattie) in her 98th year and beloved wife (of almost 60 years) to the late Robert “Bobby” Harris. A loving mother to Amelia (John), the late Bill (Margaret), the late Robert, the late Jaynis, Margaret (Lorne), Roberta (Mark) and Cindy. A dearly loved grandmother of Esther (Dave), Sarah (Luca), Erin (Steve), Rebecca (Jay), the late Ashley, Matthew (Chrystal), Robert (Victoria), Melinda (Fil), Andrew, Mark (Pamela) and Brandon. She is sadly missed by her great grandchildren: Finn, Declan, Henry, Amelia, Gavin, Charlie, Dominic, Robert, Liam, Nigel, Olivia and Charlotte. Esther loved her large family above all else. As a treasured aunt, cousin and friend she welcomed everyone into her home. Proudly born in Northern Ireland to two amazing parents, Esther and her 3 siblings (Lucinda, Sarah and Joseph) had a wonderful childhood despite the difficulties of the time. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life with graveside internment will be held at Beeton Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date. We would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at Southlake Village LTC, specifically the staff on 5W. Online condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

I was truly blessed to be able to call her “My Aunt”. She was such a constant during my growing up years In Belfast, and her house was my 2nd home. We all loved to drop in on Aunt Esther, and no matter what, she always made us feel wanted and loved. She was one special person, and
I will forever treasure the memories.
