Waldstein: Eva Luise
It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the passing of Eva Waldstein (nee Sperschneider) peacefully on Thursday January 15, 2015 at the Village of Humber Heights, Toronto at the grand age of 93 years, 360 days.
Born January 20, 1921 in Jena Germany to Josef and Luise Sperschneider, she immigrated to Canada and proudly made it her home. She is pre-disceased by her husband Otto (1991), parents and siblings.
Eva was the much beloved and loving mother of Karen (Guy) , cherished grandmother to Erik, Toronto, and devoted aunt of Lutz and Dieter Sperschneider and families in Germany. Her love of life was amazing and her strength and independence were inspiring. We shall forever miss her beautiful smile and her “coffee breaks”. Her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends and her community of neighbours in Beeton. Eva was a warm, vibrant, intelligent woman with a life long “can-do” attitude, always willing to lend her support and contributing to many worthy causes.
A spring internment is planned at Trinity Cemetery, Beeton ON.
We will always remember her with love and speak of her with smiles. Bye mom, love you lots x0x0
Till we meet again ….

Eva was a very special lady who brightened the lives and memories of so many Beeton residents. I fondly remember going to your parent’s store, being greeted by Eva and Otto and seeing your Mom’s beautiful smile. The times when we got a comic, a Pepsi or penny candy are among some of my favourite childhood memories. Eva was so active, taking walks and participating in community events and sports like curling. We are very sorry for your loss Karen and Erik.

Karen,
My fond memories of Eva go back to when we were so small Karen – 3 and 4 years old maybe. She loved it when you and your friends were there and made always things special. She was a lovely soul. Hugs.
