Frank will be missed greatly by all those to whom he gave so unstintingly the benefit of his knowledge and long time experience, with our animal kin and our home construction.
Much loved by all who knew him.

I was so sad to hear of Frank’s passing. I only knew him late in his life, but he always struck me as the strong and silent type. I would often marvel at his quiet nonchalance, knowing behind it there was someone with a great deal of rich life experience and an array of skills with and knowledge about construction, carpentry, farming, and a whole universe of practical things that he had a facility with and that I admired from afar. This spirit of know-how was an inspiration to others. I see it living on, for example, in Cherie and David’s dedication to making their own country home. I will miss seeing Frank and Colleen together: to me, they were a study in contrasts that revealed the unique power of love to make two very different people fit together.

I have known Frank since I was a young boy. As a boy on a neighboring farm, my siblings and I often spent many days on the farm with Frank and his generous and loving mother. Frank was always very interested in the business of farming. At an early age, Frank also became very interested in carpentry. On occasion, I had the opportunity to see his work. He was a meticulous worker when it came to construction. I remember that Frank would always like to hear a good joke and could tell a good one himself.
Condolences to those who were close to him in his last years. Frank was a good man!

I am so thankful I was able to meet both Colleen and Frank, both whom Iv heard so many wonderful and warm stories about from the De Courcy family. It’s cleared how much they were loved and will be missed.
