Geoffrey we will always remember our history lessons on mushrooms and Princess Dianne’s ancestral home and the boy who pinched said mushrooms. Thanks for the many pork pies.

I met Geoff a few years ago when he showed up on my door step looking for eggs to add to his Christmas cake recipe. Every year since he would deliver one of his delicious cakes. I really enjoyed talking with him when he came to buy our eggs. My condolences to his family. My heart aches for your loss.

I only met Geoffrey recently. I had a chance meeting with him as he sat in the Paint and Paper Store. I ended up sitting with him as he quite bluntly told me that there was no way I could not speak without my hands flailing everywhere:) I loved it. We went on to talk about the war and my son’s recent visit to Poland and Germany. For some reason we spoke about books, and I mentioned the book Angela’s Ashes that I thought he might enjoy. Later that evening on the same day, we had another chance meeting at a restaurant and I told him we were destined to meet. He told me he had already gone to the library and obtained the book to read. I was later able to introduce Geoffrey to my son who had traveled to places Geoffrey was quite familiar with. It was nice. Rest in peace, my friend. I’m glad I had an opportunity to meet you.

Geoff was one of the first people we met when we settled in Tottenham. Such an interesting and passionate nature with thought-provoking views! It is truly the passing of an era now that he is no longer with us and the world is the poorer for his loss. Our deepest condolences to Betty and Portland and the rest of the Mallard family.
