George Cook

In Memorial

In absolute devastation we announce the passing of George Cook, a very loving dedicated Husband of 31 years to Brenda Cook, Father to Cassie (Adam), and Frankie (Jack). Also the very best Grandpa to Jamieson and Sullivan, who adored and admired him. He will be so profoundly missed by his Sisters Marlene and Carol, and predeceased by his parents and brothers Ernie and Freddie and his niece Sherri as well as his very loved and cherished dog Chloe. Also loved and missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

George was born in Toronto, and known for his love of vehicles and mechanical work. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, and tinker with all things even if it wasn’t needed. He was also known for his short cuts that ended up being ‘long cuts’. He loved socks on inside out, but not as much as he loved Brenda his wife. Their love was that out of a story book. Both were fortunate enough to find their true soul mates.

Friends and family will be received at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477, Friday November 11 6:00pm – 8:00pm and then Saturday November 12 10:00am – 12:00pm with a funeral service starting at 12:00pm. Reception to follow in the Cliffside Hall. To leave expressions of sympathy or memories of George, please visit www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com

I’m truly sorry for your (our) loss. Uncle George was such a good man. He may have been a bit quiet, but he always put a smile on your face. He was a big family man who was loved by all. May he rest in peace.
Love you all, and I’m sending my prayers.

George was one of the kindest men I have ever known. Quiet but very caring. His love for Brenda was in his every breath. They were best mates. His leaving will be a tremendous loss to all who loved him, and who called him a friend.

Daddy. Where do we even begin? What do I even say, how do I put into a small paragraph what you meant to me, to my sons? You are and we’re the greatest Dad, and an even better Papa. I wish we had more time. I need more time. I love you daddy! Forever your girl.

I did not know you very well, but I can attest that in the few short interactions we’ve had you indeed were a kind and pleasant man. I do wish I could have gotten to know you better, especially with your love of cars.

I’m so sorry for the Cook family. Especially for Cassie, Frankie and Brenda.

George was the kind if guy that would help anyone. He was shy at first but once I got to know him he was funny, nice and he was the perfect partner for Brenda. You could see the love he had for Brenda and Frankie and Cassie. You will be missed my friend❤️
