Suddenly at Brampton Civic Hospital, on Wednesday September 28, 2011. Gertie in her 66th year, beloved wife of Dick. Loving mother of Debbie (Roland), and Rob (Kim). Fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters: June, Pauline, Percy, Roy (Bev), Barry (Pat), Clayton (Linda), Ernest, Wayne (Judy), Lyness, Linda (Allan), David (Barb).
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Friday September 30, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday October 1, 2011 at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations in Gertie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Im going to miss you mom. You were the Best mom anyone could have. You gave us everything we wanted and were always there for us. I cannot express how I feel, Im just glad your in a better place free of pain, and we will do our best to help dad thru this painful time. I love you mom.

Gertie was like a second mom to us growing up. She always opened her home to us and watched over us when my mom and dad were at work.We were all saddened to here about her passing.
