Fond memories of Gwennie, she was a life long friend of my mothers. Loved to come back yearly for the Beeton Fair to renew acquaintances.
Sorry for your loss she was a wonderful person.

Our sympathies to Gwen’s close friends and family. It was my privilege to get to know Gwen late in 2010 when my dad, Stewart Calhoun, introduced us. Dad was a widower at that time and newly reacquainted with Gwen. As Beetonians they had much in common. They made wonderful companions and Gwen showed a genuine interest in our family. We only saw each other on a handful of occasions (Dad passed away in 2013) but I was always grateful for her easy laughter and kindness. Sincerely, Kathryn and Dan Corbett

Gwen has been one of the dearest people in my life! I will miss her deeply. Her father and my grandmother were brother and sister. I her Mom lived to be 102/103(?) and I assumed she would do the same. I was blessed to visit with her briefly on a trip to Toronto in June (thanks to my son) and to talk on the phone about once a week over the years until recently when hearing and phone problems made it impossible. We even had a trip to Hawaii together in 1014.
Memories have come flooding back: weekends in Beeton as a child; playing games (euchre); tag, hide and go seek; visits to the cottage at Sauble Beach; how good she was to my Mother when my Dad was killed in a car accident.
Gwen was so very appreciative of the love, time and dedication she has received from her nephews. There is no thank you good enough for them. It breaks my heart that I cannot be there today. I will love her forever and know she will be missed by many!

Gwen will be deeply missed by Steve and I.
We spent many evenings together over the past 18 years for birthday dinners, bbq’s or back yard get togethers enjoying a glass of wine while listening to Gwen’s fun filled stories of days gone by.
Gwen was a hard worker and fighter who endured a lot over her years but never complained. She was a strong loving lady.
We became closer in the years to follow as we shared life’s experiences. Gwen always listened with a supportive ear offering positive advise and suggestions to life’s trials and challenges.
We love you Gwen. We will miss you but are happy you are now resting comfortably with our dear Lord. Hugs.
