So sorry about the loss of such a great person. Fern and family I wish you strength to cope with this loss. Susan Booi my dear friend, I just can imagine how you feel losing a family that made a difference in your life. Janis has touched my life or better said, our lives. The same sudden way she got into our lives the same way she departed. So suddenly. Such a talented person. Beautiful in and out. Always in the mood of helping others and making sure happiness is around us. She knitted a beautiful blue blanket for my first grandson.
Done in less than a week time on the beach. Her last visit with me showing the beautiful bathing suit she got from your shop. Jumping with me all the way in Carnaval… Janis, you will live forever in my heart.
My deepest condolences Fern and her beautiful daughters.

I met Janis in my early twenties through Sabrina. She was always kind, caring, encouraging and a positive role model to me. As I started having children of my own she was the same to my children. Kind, caring, generous, positive role model. My kids and I will always remember your kind heart, great laugh, and the many days we spent swimming in the back yard. Best of all thanks for giving me one of my best friends Sabrina and for Riley.. Julian. Will miss u dearly! My sincere condolences to Fern, Sabrina, Veronica, Hillary and the rest of your family!

I will miss seeing her walk past my house daily and our conversations on meeting on the road. I have lovely memories of her dancing at my functions.

Collateral Beauty: The meaning is simple, the damage of a child’s death is so dark and severe that a parent cannot see the full picture because of the tragedy. It may take a lifetime to understand that within that dark and ugly place there was a beauty and love there so strong that not even death could dishevel it ….that in fact, the beauty is that love continues even after and through death and the impact of that trauma brings us closer to the love that we shared for that person and all the ways love of that individual has affected our lives and the lives of others. The secondary beauty that has an everlasting ripple effect on other peoples lives and through eternity is what living is truly about. All about the quality and not so much the quantity. Life is a teacher and Love is the reward in all its forms. When we can see love where darkness used to reside we can finally turn our lives and those around us into something glorious.

Sending our thoughts and condolences to the Veneziale Family. I have known Hillary since High school and I recall being over at her house multiple times, and her mother always opened the door to us kids, with a huge smile and loving attitude. She seemed to enjoy to entertain guests, even if we were bratty teenagers. Her loving spirit will not be forgotten and will carry on with her children and grandchildren. So sorry for your loss.

Janis was my big sister, one of three. She had a great big heart and a zest for life like no other. Anything that Janis put her mind to, she could do. Whether it was scrapbooking, puzzles, crocheting, needlepoint, stained glass, curling or golf, she was good at it all!

We sometimes disagreed on things, but we never let it come between us. We got each other.

Although I live in Montreal, her and I would talk as often as we could. I will miss her voice, her laugh, her smile. I can’t believe you are gone Jan. But you are now in peace. With Dad, Christopher, Mike and many of your friends who passed before you.

I love you and will miss you tremendously.

Janis was one of the most inspiring women we have ever met. She enjoyed life to the fullest and did so with a passion. She was a master of many crafts…sewing, knitting, crochet, greeting cards. If you received one of Janis’ special gifts you knew there was a lot of love put into it. She was a vibrant, kind hearted, compassionate and very giving person who made friends easily…one of those larger-than-life people. She was a positive influence in our lives and we are grateful to have shared in her friendship for over 20 years. There will always be a huge hole in our hearts where Janis used to live. To Fern and your beautiful family, there are no words to express how deeply saddened we are for your loss and ours.

I am so saddened to learn about Janis’s passing. Janis was my “crafty” friend, her talents never ceased to amaze me. Although I live in Nova Scotia now, Janis and I kept in touch over Facebook and she and Fern came to visit Steve and I on their East coast road trip. I will always remember the good times with Janis…we always had some good belly-laughs. Our prayers are with Fern and the girls/husbands and grand kids. Hugs, from Steve and Licia Elder.

We will forever cherish the great times together, including her last weekend on earth – so thankful for that!
Depression is a flaw in chemistry, not in character.
It might have taken her away from everyone that loved her, but she was a beautiful spirit never to be forgotten. xox
